Holy Trinity Episcopal School celebrated the opening of its twelfth school year on Monday, August 22 with the news of two national distinctions for outstanding efforts by its parent and student community.
The school's Parent Leadership Group recently received national recognition from PTO Today as the winners of the 2011 Parent Group of the Year for Outstanding Effort to Overcome Adversity. Over 300 school groups applied for the 2011 awards through PTO Today, a national company dedicated to providing resources and services to the K-8 parent group market. Holy Trinity was one of ten schools recently awarded national recognition, and the only award-winning school from Texas. See link: http://www.ptotoday.com/pgy/winners.html
Outstanding Effort To Overcome Adversity (pdf file)
Alex deMasi, a 4th grade student at HTES in the 2010-2011 year, was selected as one of ten national winners for the Kohl's Kids Who Care 2011 Awards for his incredible service to Houston's fallen veterans.
